It is a common propensity to take individuals without any consideration and assumed that those near to us can forever remain with us. We should remember that without nourishment, even the foremost everlasting flowers can fade away. There is nothing like laurels, praise and thanks to make other people feel valued and loved. Let us never overlook that irrespective of our position within the organization, it is essential to understand the great work of our subordinates, offer credit once credit is due.
Recognition is the most powerful motivator for all. Ensure it is well timed, specific, sincere and heartfelt. Once your praises sound rehearsed or forced, the individuals get more offended and enchanted, and are less motivated to work.
Every man possesses some positive traits in him. Always try to identify the positive aspects in others, and appreciate those positive aspects whenever you have an opportunity. Please do not spend away your time concentrating their negative aspects. If we learn to understand others it can facilitate to live a better life. We never loose anything in appreciating others - instead we become a higher person. Appreciating others will facilitate to reinforce our skill; it will also boost the doers to contribute a lot of for the good of the individuals. Every time some one will do something good for us they would like our real appreciation which growth forth in the land of jealous free areas. Learning to appreciate others' ideas, sincerity, contribution, smart deeds etc enhance one's life. This appears to be no reason why we have a tendency not to appreciate others.
Several times many people had done nice things for us and they would like appreciation. However some individuals have not received any appreciation or reward in their life for their smart deeds. However, once we appreciate and support the smart deeds of others - we feel well and encourage others to work more sincerely. Appreciating others and talking smart of others when they died is one of the weakest attitudes of mankind in this world. Several individuals work hard no matter others appreciate or recognize. However, some individuals would like to have support, appreciation and recognition. Once some one will do something great - we hardly take into account how they might do such a good thing. Instead, we have a tendency to criticize and snub others' nice works.
As we assess and project in a very positive manner regarding others, we're sure to establish the attractive issue they have done, which is worth to be appreciated. Again and again we do not appreciate others as a result of either jealousy ignorance attitude or callous attitude. However due to our callous hearts, we do not feel in our hearts or settle for what others had done for us.
Man is a social being and it desire support, appreciation and recognition. Once we open up our heart to understand others, it will boost our present work and in their works. People who appreciate and support others learn from others and improve in their works. However, people who are so callous about others’ good deeds fail to learn and improve their work. If we do not appreciate others from our hearts, it is better not to show our dissembling appreciation because it only wastes our energy and time. Appreciating others is nothing but simply enhance our work, thinking and living more peacefully.
Jack Welch used to fax handwritten notes to anyone within the company who he felt merited personal communication, motivation, correction, or congratulation. Welch in person reviewed everybody who worked direct for him. Extensive performance evaluations sometimes ran several pages. These handwritten notes were intimate and spontaneous. Moments after Welch lifted his black felt-tip pen from the chairman’s writing paper, they are sent via fax direct to the worker. Two days later, the original arrived in the mail.
Be genuinely sincere in your appraisals and communication with your people. Praise them once they put in the additional efforts and overtime work. Acknowledge their out-of-office achievements too. If they are taking part in any sort of competition, show your support by being present at the events. Most people adore and are made about attention and a word of appreciation from the boss will surely go a long way in motivating them to put their complete sincerity into their work. You would agree that if the CEO of an organization cares to recognize with the clerk, office boy, or cleaner, it would not only create their day, they would be talking regarding it for a couple of days. Word can unfold and overnight, the CEO can become the most revered celebrity in the organization.
We need to acquire skill to appreciate others if we want to work harder and learn from others the new techniques of their greatness. No man is too recent to learn from birth till date; it is solely our weakness that we overlook to learn several things.
